School Meals and Healthy Snacks
At Wrockwardine Wood Infant School and Nursery, we are committed to promoting healthy lifestyles by offering nutritious meals, healthy snacks, and plenty of opportunities for hydration throughout the day.
Freshly Cooked Meals Every Day
We have an excellent school kitchen providing freshly prepared, healthy meals daily. Meals are provided by Telford and Wrekin Catering, and include a variety of seasonal and nutritious recipes.
Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free, nutritious school meal every day, including:

A hot cooked meal or sandwich

A dessert

Fresh water
Hot meals are automatically provided. If your child prefers a sandwich, this must be pre-ordered by 9:00am each Friday for the following week Weekly Sandwich Order Form or collect from the school office.

Special Diets
We cater for medical, religious, and cultural dietary needs. Please speak to the school office if your child requires a special diet.
Fruit and Milk Scheme
We are proud to be part of the National School Fruit Scheme and School Milk Scheme.

Fruit is provided free of charge for every child daily, as a healthy morning snack.

Milk is available free of charge twice a week for all children in school.

In Nursery, milk is available every day as part of our snack routine.
Water and Drinks

Water is freely available throughout the day via mains water coolers.

In Nursery, children have their own cups and pour from jugs at the snack table.

In Reception, Year 1 and 2 children are encouraged to bring a named water bottle each day.

Cakes or sweets for birthdays/celebrations (due to allergy risks)
