School Uniform

What will my child need for school?

School uniform plays a key role in promoting pride, self-confidence, and a feeling of belonging at Wrockwardine Wood Infant school and Nursery. Children wear their uniform with pride whether they are in school or out and about in the local community.

Our school colours are royal blue, black and grey. We request children wear a royal blue sweatshirt, cardigan or zoody with grey or black skirts, pinafores or trousers. In warmer months, blue gingham dresses /black or grey smart shorts can be worn. All children need to wear sensible shoes (no heels or trainers please). In the colder weather, tights are permitted black, navy or grey. White polo tops can be purchased from a local supermarket.

For P.E. children need black shorts, jogging bottoms and a school t-shirt. They also need trainers for outdoor P.E

Further information

To avoid upset for children it is essential that all items of clothing are clearly marked with your child's name.

Long hair must be tied back to keep your child safe and healthy.

Although short hair is acceptable, shaved patterns are not.

If your child has pierced ears please ensure that stud earrings are worn only (this is for health and safety reasons).

Children should not wear earrings for Physical Education and Sports events. The teacher will cover earrings with micro pore tape for safety if your child is unable to remove them. This is a self-adhesive tape used in hospitals and clinics.

Lost Property

All items of lost property which are not marked with the child's name are placed in a box for safe keeping in the General Purpose room so please let us know if your child has lost an item of clothing and we will try to find it for you.
